Mr. Bernas is an awesome teacher because he is patient, fun, and calm with his students, even when the class gets chaotic. He has good sense of humor and sometimes shares interesting stories, news, and things that are happening in the world, and he also puts on music when the class is silent, which makes the classroom more relaxed and enjoyable. He makes me excited to go to his class because culinary class is different from other classes. We learn about foo, cook and bake, sometimes get to eat what we make, but not always, of course. He shows that he cares by always keeping students safe and making sure no one gets burned or hurt while cooking or baking. He helps me become a better and more confident student by teaching steo by step and letting us lean by doing. I'm not just a student but also a cook or baker, maybe a nood right now, but who knows? Maybe I will become better. Inside the classroom, he supports us by guiding us during cooking and baking so we can finish our work, and outside the classroom, he supports us during a bake-off competition and taught us important skills like cleanliness and responsibilty, which I can use at home and in real life. Plus, I can now make a cake for my little brother's upcoming birthday party, yay.
