Mrs. Kahn is an excellent dance teacher. Without her, I wouldn’t know the steps I do today, like how to perform an à la seconde. I look forward to going to her classroom because we’re never just sitting around—she keeps us active and engaged. Instead of sending students to OSS for not cooperating, she encourages them to get in line, and they listen.Ms. Kahn doesn’t just say she cares; she shows it by recognizing our skills and positive behavior. On the first day of sixth grade, she made me feel like I belonged. I was excited to perform in showcases and recitals, something I never would’ve done if I hadn’t joined dance.Ms. Kahn never judges anyone in class. She creates a supportive environment where everyone can work on and improve their unique skills without being judged. She makes sure to teach us the basic steps like turns and jumps so that everyone knows what to do. Even though we may not be perfect, she inspires us to keep improving.
