I selected Mr. Tallman for the Honored Schools Teacher Nomination because I feel like he has all of the best qualities for an AP teacher. What makes this teacher awesome is because he is passionate about teaching especially with an AP course. Everyday I go into his class I learn something new and I also have a fun time in AP world history. When I first signed up for the class I imagined it being hard and stressful, and while it is hard and could be stressful sometimes, Mr. Tallman finds a way to make a class fun everyday, even the lectures. What makes me excited to go to his class is mainly the weekly activities he has planned out. I am thankful for him being harsh on us sometimes because it helps us work better and it's him being harsh that I know he cares for us and our learning. He wants us to do our best especially since we are in AP. He encourages us to show him what we do for homework even if it's not for a grade just so he can give us feedback on it. For example, he knows that for the AP exam we will need to do our best on the writing portions and he heavily encourages us to show him any work that we have done out of class just to tell us what we did right, what we did wrong, and how to improve. He may be a little strict but no matter what he is still a great teacher.
