Farrah started the year nervous because she’d been practicing reading but was joining a Spanish language class. It has been exciting to see her thrive and excel in her reading, writing, and vocabulary, to the point where she is able to help me now. Mr.G gives the kids various ways to practice their skills and several hands on activities that have shown to be effective at engaging the kids minds and memory. Being able to associate specific words and vocabulary exercises with activities from class has had a remarkable impact on her. Mr.G has been very receptive and communicative about how the children are progressing and feeling in the class. Letting us know what’s going on academically, but also emotionally, which is great for us parents to have insight in to how the kids are really getting on at school. Farrah’s confidence is at an all time high because of the progress she’s been able to make at both reading and math. His consistent approach to building a base of knowledge for the kids has directly benefited Farrah’s ability to retain information and understand it more than just memorizing it. In the classroom, he helps Farrah direct her energies to projects and progress and he’s communicative and supportive of all the kids outside the classroom. Helping to teach them about how their time and hard work in school translates to how they can perform and make a positive impact outside of school
