Ms. McDonald is an incredible English teacher who makes the written word feel alive and relevant to our daily lives. She transforms the classroom into an engaging space where literature isn't just something to be memorized, but a way to explore big ideas through Socratic seminars and creative workshops. What truly sets her apart is her genuine care for us as individuals; she doesn't just grade our grammar, but responds to our personal voices and ideas, always noticing when someone needs an extra word of encouragement. By respecting our opinions and encouraging us to take risks in our writing, she has helped me find my own voice and built a level of confidence in me that I didn't have before. Whether she is staying late to help with an essay or acting as a supportive advocate for our mental health, Ms. McDonald goes far beyond her job description to create a safe, welcoming community for every student.
