This staff member has helped me by encouraging me to participate in an Accuplacer test during the summer (June 9-26, 2025) to be able to do dual enrollment. He told me the benefits of this program. Mr. Osorio told us his story and that he wanted all of the students to have an education, even if they couldn't afford it. When I was doing the Accuplacer, he was very energetic, giving us food and water. The student volunteers were also proud of assisting him. He told us that we were his children and explained that the purpose of his persistence was his wish to give us chances. The connections with new students while preparing for the test sparked new friendships. Afterwards, at the Geometry EOC, he brought other students and me to a different room to finish the test, and handed us snacks. Additionally, I needed supplies for a class, and he gave me suggestions of whom to reach out to. Mr. Osorio answered my many questions without hesitation. Recently, Mr. Osorio has also organized an award ceremony on February 27th, for students on the A and B Honor Roll. His guidance and appreciation will help me in the near future, as I enter college, to showcase my accomplishments to universities.
