My teacher, Ms. Ricardo, is awesome because she never gives up on us, even when our class can be really hard to deal with. She always walks into the room with a positive attitude and a smile, and that makes me actually excited to go to class. She explains things in a way that’s easy to understand, and if we don’t get it the first time, she’s patient and will go over it again without making us feel dumb. She shows us she cares by checking in on us, asking how we’re doing, and making sure we’re okay, not just with school but in life too. Even when she gets a lot of bad kids who don’t listen or act up, she still pushes through and stays kind instead of giving up or being mean. That makes me feel like I matter and that I can do better. Because of her, I feel more confident raising my hand, trying harder on my work, and believing that I can actually succeed. She supports us inside the classroom by helping us with our assignments and giving us feedback, and outside the classroom by encouraging us to follow our dreams and make good choices. Ms. Ricardo really makes a difference in my life, and I’m grateful to have her as my teacher.
