My teacher, Ms. Ricardo, is awesome because she truly cares about her students and always pushes us to do our best, especially through AVID. She makes class a positive and welcoming place where I feel excited to learn, and she uses AVID to teach us important skills like staying organized, taking good notes, asking questions, and planning for our future. She shows that she cares by checking in on how I’m doing, listening when I’m struggling, and reminding me of my goals. Because of her, I have become a more confident student who is not afraid to speak up, stay on top of my work, and challenge myself. She supports me inside the classroom with clear help and encouragement, and outside the classroom by talking with me about college, careers, and my future. I appreciate Ms. Ricardo dearly for everything she has done to help me grow as a student and as a person.
