Mrs. Tambuson (AKA) Mrs. Gessy, is an amazing teacher who teaches lower SDC at Oak Street Elementary. Teaching an SDC class is very challenging because of all the different IEPs and multiple grade levels squeezed into one class, but she manages to do a great job teaching all the kids in her class. She is able to be compassionate yet firm while being respectful of her students. When she came to oak to teach this class the kids had not had a permanent teacher for nearly two years. Now the kids are able to finally have a stable routine and many are on their way to learning to read. After my daughters experience I can honestly say we need more teachers like her.
