Teacher Nomination for Ms. Swain I would like to nominate Ms. Swain as a way to express my continued appreciation for the meaningful impact she has had on my daughter, Phoenix. Ms. Swain was Phoenix’s first-grade teacher, and the foundation she helped build during that school year continues to show in Phoenix’s growth and confidence today as a second-grade student. She created an environment that gave Phoenix the space to truly develop, learn, and believe in herself. Her patience, encouragement, and nurturing approach made such a difference during a very important stage in Phoenix’s academic journey. What I appreciate most about Ms. Swain is that her impact did not end when the school year ended. Even now, when Phoenix sees her in the hallways or in the classroom, Ms. Swain continues to greet her with the same warmth, care, and encouragement that she showed while she was her student. Those small moments of connection mean so much to children and remind them that they are remembered and valued. As a parent, it is incredibly rewarding to see teachers who continue to pour into their students even after they move on to the next grade level. Ms. Swain has always carried herself as a loving and impactful teacher, and Phoenix still speaks of her with appreciation and respect. I am truly grateful for the role Ms. Swain played in helping Phoenix grow into the confident and capable student she is today. Teachers who create that kind of lasting impact deserve to be recognized, and Ms. Swain is certainly one of them.
