Ms. Strathouse is an excellent teacher. She engages with students throughout the entire class period, checks in on every single student'a work, provides easy to follow formulas for writing, and helps students understand the art and complexity of writing. Beyond being an educator, Ms. Strathouse is also a great person. Ms. Strathouse sits and listens with students about their work and their personal lives. Ms. Strathouse has influenced many of my peers to take risks and elevate their writing through counseling and advice. Ms. Strathouse is also always willing to write letters of recommendation and assist students in whatever they need. She demonstrates great moral character in and outside of the school and environment, and is the perfect fit for the Honored Schools Awards.
