This teacher is among the most patient I have ever had the pleasure to be educated by. Mr. Saito invites his students to ask questions while he is teaching and does not pressure who don't understand the subject. Going to his class was always easygoing, we would often start off with a lesson and transition to occasional breaks. Mr. Saito is warm-hearted and is not a teacher who is difficult to approach. He is flexible with deadlines and understanding of students' situations. He was amongst one of my recommenders for the common app and UC application when I was starting my college recommendations, without hesitation, he agreed and even submitted his letter within two days of request. He is a teacher who genuinely cares about his students and loves his job, his community, and the wellness of City Honors. Overall, I believe Mr. Saito deserves to be recognized and honored for who he is.
