Mrs. Milstead is known as the teacher who gives the most homework, but I believe their is a method to her madness. She is very passionate when she teaches, and she wants every student to gain something from her class. She mentors her students and encourages them to achieve their dreams. Once during an indoor recess, my daughter's friend group were discussing make-belief characters and a plot to derive a book. Mrs. Milstead took time out of her busy schedule to print out a blueprint model of how to write a book and organize thoughts, chapters, and etc. for the five girls. She discussed with them the key points in making a book and the process of developing characters. My daughter started writing in her blueprint during her free time on the weekends. She always include study guides in her homework or discusses helpful ways for the students to learn the material. She truly wants the students to understand her content. Her lectures are so thorough and descriptive that Kirsten does not have any difficulty retaining the topics in her brain to perform well on tests. Great Job, Mrs. Dovie!
