I would like to nominate my son’s teacher Teacher Mr. Willis. He consistently goes above and beyond to support his students, not just during the school day but also by helping parents stay involved and informed. One thing that really stands out is the extra effort he puts into communication. He takes the time to send videos to parents explaining how to work through the newer math methods. That makes a huge difference at home, especially when the material is taught differently than many of us learned. Because of this, we’re better able to help our children and feel more connected to what they’re learning. My son is on the autism spectrum, and learning can take him a bit more time and patience. His teacher has been incredibly understanding and supportive, always meeting him where he is and helping him move forward at his own pace. Because of this, I’ve seen real growth not only in his academics but also in his confidence. He now comes home more willing to try, even when things are challenging, and he’s often excited to share what he’s learned. That speaks volumes about the kind of classroom environment his teacher creates. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about each of his students and is willing to put in the extra time to make sure they succeed. I'm very grateful for his dedication and the positive impact he’s having on my child’s education.
