Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
DANIELLE PEREZ
HOMESTEAD SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY

It is an absolute honor to support the nomination of someone who has not only dedicated her career to education, but who truly embodies what it means to inspire, uplift, and lead with purpose. For years I’ve had the privilege of watching her pour her heart into everything she does and teaching is no exception. As a dual enrollment professor, she doesn’t just teach content, she builds bridges. She creates opportunities for her students to see beyond where they are and step confidently into where they’re capable of going. Whether in a high school classroom or on a college campus, she meets her students with high expectations, unwavering support, and a belief in their potential that leaves a lasting impact long after they’ve left her class. Danielle is extremely passion about her career, it’s not just something she talks about, it’s something she lives every single day. She shows up, consistently and wholeheartedly, for her students, her colleagues, and her community. She invests in people, challenges them to grow, and celebrates their wins as if they were her own. On a personal level, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to call her my best friend for over 20 years, although “friend” hardly captures what she truly is to me. She’s family. She’s the kind of person who shows up without hesitation, loves without conditions, and leads with a quiet strength and authenticity that draws people in and lifts There is no one more deserving of this recognition.
