Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
DANIEL COOK
SPRING EARLY COLLEGE ACADEMY

STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY

I love the way his teaching is really hands on but leaves room to build confidence through creative questioning. His questions challenge you to really think about how to connect different parts of history. He also teaches in a fun way rather than making every assignment a monotonous boring process. Some things they did that made me excited to go to his class was how in-depth he would go on the material without spending too much time on one singular subject matter. His way of showing he cares is challenging everyone, not just the 'smartest' in the room, but every person that needs to learn. He is very direct in how he criticizes you without making you feel dumb or below other students. His way of teaching allows me to build confidence in not only his knowledge, but the development of my own. Outside of the classroom he has given me great conversation and makes sure each student is treated fairly and criticized fairly.
