While Walter only took Band class for one quarter, and chose Visual Art simply because he loves Visual Art and has looked forward to studying it daily for years (and sometimes even asks for extra Visual Art classes in the community), he was pleasantly surprised with how great of an experience Band was for him second quarter. He loved playing percussion and learned so much. We can tell how great of a teacher and asset to MJCS Mr. Akins is from Winter Concerts, etc., and Walter was lucky to experience so much growth and joy in his class. He loved doing his Band assignments and we were all pleasantly surprised at his grades!
