Walter loves the creativity that some of his science projects allow. He loves being able to make animations and be appreciated for them, and have them carry a significant weight in terms of his overall grade. Science is one of his favorite classes this year, without naturally being one of his favorite "subjects" in life, which is a testament to Ms. Smith's teaching. I was a professional scientist early in my career (have some publications and many citations lol), and I can tell that the science education is "BOMB" - like parts of a cell, especially. Being specialized and working in biology, biochemistry, and behavioral neuroscience for the early part of my adulthood, I find joy in how Ms. Smith could go from parts of a cell and the complexities of that vocabulary to phases of the moon and giving the students the assignment to look at the moon each night. We're so grateful for this class!
