Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
COURTNIE HINDS
HENRY & EVELYN BOZARTH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY
When our son started kindergarten he was very shy and didn’t talk much. Mrs Hinds noticed right away his situation and communicated with us regularly on how to help him. She had him meet with the school counselor and tried to have him get approved for speech therapy with the school, but he didn’t qualify. She suggested to us to have him take private speech lessons. We took her advice and our son attended speech therapy for three years, and graduated. Our very shy kid who would not talk or even cried when asked questions he couldn’t understand to answer is now a different kid. He has confidence and has even volunteered to read in Mrs Hinds classroom to her new kindergarten class. He is now in 4th grade and loves baseball. We are very grateful for her caring heart and taking the extra step to help us get our son George Jr in the right direction. She will always have a place in our hearts. Thank you. ❤️
