Mrs.Vargas is the reason I am who I am today. Transparently I may be a bit biased because she is my mother, so I’ve been blessed to experience the fullness of her intentionality and guidance. I recognize now at 20, how her being a teacher has played such a crucial role not only in her students, but in raising me. So many of the qualities I see as the best of myself come from what she has instilled in me. The way I show up for others, my resilience and my effort in all I do are all reflections of what she has taught and modeled to me. Also, the way I see her emphasize the celebration of true individuality and valuing yourself are such a testament to the values she carries and spreads to students. Her dedication in all she does, especially as a teacher, is my lifelong inspiration. I have witnessed firsthand the attention and care she pours into her students. She truly impacts their lives in whole; from teaching them grammar to how to care for the environment around them and to growing into adults who will be conscious and productive members of society. For her, teaching is not just her career but truly her heart. She continues to not just want the best for those around her, but actively helping them in achieving aspirations and pushing them towards their full potential. She has always advocated for putting in maximum effort and having an open mindset towards all of life’s ups and downs. From the triathlons to field trips cleaning the environment, she embodies the representation I believe everyone deserves. Mrs.Vargas lives her life with the intention of helping those who surround her grow and flourish, she is who I aspire to be.
