This is our son’s 2nd year with Ms. Zardes and we couldn’t ask for a better teacher for our son. She really opened him up and made him accountable and more consistent in his performance as a student. Whether it was making sure he showed his work, or calling him out on rushing through a math test instead of taking his time and checking his work with her own flare. Our boy knows where he stands with her as his teacher and what her expectations are, while being transparent with us about his performance and behavior. Ms. Zardes cares so much for all of her students and tries to be there in every capacity for them. In all honesty, last year after they moved her to his class it was the first time in a long time he didn’t mind going to school because he enjoyed his teacher so much. I really love partnering with her and supporting her as an educator. I can’t believe after three years of testing she helped him qualify for the Gifted Talented Program at school. No one in my eyes deserves this award more than her.
