Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
CHELSEA HUBBARD
CLAUGHTON MIDDLE SCHOOL
STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY
Mrs. Hubbard is very good because she teaches very well and is also sometimes funny. She really knows how to do things right; she knows how to control the class and also has a good sense of humor.
Every time I have to go to class, I get worried, I don't know why, maybe I just feel uncomfortable going to that class, but in Mrs. Hubbard's class I don't feel that way. Maybe it's because I have classmates to talk to and also because I already know Mrs. Hubbard, and it's a place where I don't feel uncomfortable. That's why I'm always excited to go to her class, because it's like a place where I feel safe and comfortable.
Maybe she cares about all the students; she's very kind to me, really. She knows that I speak Spanish and understands that I don't know much English, so she almost never asks me anything, although when she does, I understand that it's because I also have to do my part and I have to improve. I understand that I won't always be a child who never learns English, so I try to do my best, even if I have bad pronunciation.
She has taught us so much; I've learned a great deal about professional areas and other topics. She has prepared my classmates and me very well, and I feel that she is very supportive because she is probably giving her best to teach us. Thanks to this class, we have learned so much. Thank you very much.
