Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
CASSIE LANDREW
SPRING EARLY COLLEGE ACADEMY

STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY

Ms. Landrew is unwavering in her care for student success. She dedicates and has dedicated countless hours over the years towards helping students to understand the material, bridging gaps in learning, and grading and giving extra chances for students to succeed. She never leaves the school before 4 usually staying til 5-6 helping students, grading, working on Yearbook Advisor duties, and communicating with parents. She has challenging coursework that, after taking her English I course and then going into upper level college courses, is exactly what is needed to prepare you for college class structure. beyond that, Ms. Landrew is an extremely caring soul that is always looking out for students and looking for ways to make her class interactive and make sense to different types of learners. I took her English I class and have been on the yearbook staff for 2 years and I can attest that Ms. Landrew is never not busy with something. Her personality really shines through in her yearbook class as she helps every student and allows the classroom to be a chill environment focused on learning, design, and allowing us to grow as yearbook staffers. She’s been a mentor figure to me over the last 3 years and has always been there for me, as we have chatted as I stayed after school working on yearbook or waiting for my ride or helping out for volunteer hours or extra credit. I know that if I ever have a dilemma I can talk to Ms. Landrew as a safe space.
