My name is David Urbina Muñoz, and I am a student in Ms. Cassie Landrew’s English I class. I am nominating her because she truly prepared me for excellence on the English STAAR and helped me grow as a reader, writer, and student. Ms. Landrew made me excited to come to class because her lessons were active and engaging. We didn’t just read quietly and answer questions – we discussed, debated, worked in groups, and practiced writing in different ways. She used examples from books, articles, and even real-world topics that connected to our lives, so I felt like what we were learning in English actually mattered outside of school.
