Mrs. O has helped my son grow by leaps and bounds. When he first came to her, he knew his letters and sounds, but she expanded his learning by teaching him how to blend those sounds together to form words. She showed him that what we say has meaning and can be written down. Because of her, he is now spelling and sounding out words constantly. She makes learning fun and engaging, and many times he doesn’t even realize he’s learning because he’s enjoying the activities so much. She also creates a classroom environment where he feels truly welcome. Whenever he accomplishes something at home, he always says he can’t wait to share it with her. She is a one‑of‑a‑kind teacher who has made this school year unforgettable for my son.
