Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
BROOKLYN COX
EARLY LEARNING CENTER
STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY
Ms. Cox (Brooklyn) is more than a teacher, she is a light in Abdul Ahad's world.
Abdul Ahad is a bright, curious 4-year-old who has been on a journey that requires extra support, patience, and love. Walking into a classroom can be overwhelming for him, but Ms. Cox has an incredible gift for making him feel safe, seen, and celebrated every single day.
What makes Ms. Cox truly awesome is the way she meets Abdul Ahad exactly where he is never rushing him, never comparing him, but always encouraging him to take his next step with confidence. She transforms the classroom into a place he wants to be.
She shows she cares by noticing the small things a smile when he tries something new, a gentle reassurance when the day feels hard. As parents navigating therapy, evaluations, and the daily challenges of raising a child with developmental needs, knowing Ms. Cox has her eyes on Abdul Ahad with kindness and intention gives our family enormous peace of mind.
She has helped him grow into a more confident little boy. She celebrates his wins, big and small, and never makes him feel behind. Because of her, he walks into school with pride.
Her support doesn't stop at the classroom door. She communicates with us as a family, keeps us informed, and makes us feel like true partners in Abdul Ahad's growth. For a family far from extended support, that connection means everything.
Ms. Cox, you are deserving of every honor. Thank you for loving our son.
