Dr. Dunkelburger has been such an amazing teacher for me this last year. I never really clicked with science, but since the first day in his classroom, suddenly things just make sense. His teaching style in general is so amazing. He never singles students out, he always provides the materials for our success, and he makes sure we succeed in everything. He is very kind and he pays attention to his students. I know for a fact that he cares about me and every other student he teaches because he is always willing to have conversations with them about anything, that and the fact that he does so much for his class and him donating his time to teach kids is such an amazing thing. He makes me more confident as a student and motivates me by just making his class such a welcoming place. I never feel left out in his class and for that I am so grateful. It's easy to take notes in his class and I am never afraid to ask questions. This definitely helps to push me out of my comfort zone in other classes because I know that if I have purpose in my learning then I can go so far. While I haven't needed much support outside the classroom from him specifically, inside the classroom is definitely a place he has provided it. Any time there is something me or another student doesn't understand, he is always willing to explain. I also just love having conversations with him in general. Having another teacher to talk to about random things is such an amazing thing. Other than science, I love talking to him about reading. Like our current reads, what we've read before or what we want to read in the future. As a bookish student who doesn't have very many bookish friends, having that connection is lovely.
