I’m not from here! Since moving into this area with my son attending Hoyland I have had a pretty rough experience. I met Ms. O at open house. Upon meeting her I knew she would be the perfect fit for my son. Ms. O has always kept me in the loop with whatever this entire school year. She even helped me with being able to sit in class with my son to better his class experiences. I feel like Ms. O understand me not only as a mother but a Black mother raising a Black young man. She have treated my son as if he was her own. I appreciate that in so many ways because it takes a village to raise kids! She was apart of my village this year, I will forever keep her in my heart. She has been my very best teacher an experience at Hoyland! Shoutout to my O! She’s the best.
