Brandi Malarchar - everyone’s favorite teacher in the classroom, but outside of it, she has taught me and so many others - what true care, compassion, and community really look like. Our kids went to school together, and over time she became more than just a school parent. She became family. What makes Brandi so incredible is her open heart. She sees children as all of our responsibility, not just our own. She truly believes that no child should ever be left out or left behind, and she lives that belief every single day. She supports students and families in ways that go far beyond what anyone would expect. She feeds people when they’re in need, gives rides to make sure kids get where they need to be, and steps in quietly whenever someone needs help. She never makes anyone feel like a burden, only valued. One of the most powerful things she does is organizing dress giveaways and helping young ladies get ready for special moments by doing their makeup when families may not be able to afford it or aren’t in the position to do so. She makes sure every child feels beautiful, included, and confident. Because of her, kids get to make memories they might not have otherwise had. Brandi shows children that they matter. She reminds them that they deserve to feel proud, supported, and seen. The love she gives extends far beyond school walls, and the impact she has on students and families lasts a lifetime.
