Dr. Bernaldo Salvador is an amazing teacher who inspires many students at Western High School. I am especially proud of him because he is not only my teacher but also my father. He is a Special Education teacher who works every day to support students with disabilities, and he does this with great patience, compassion, and dedication. I often see him pushing wheelchairs, assisting students with mobility, and helping them participate in activities so they can be included just like everyone else. His work shows how much he truly cares about the students he serves. One of the things that makes him an awesome teacher is the positive environment he creates in his classroom. He believes that every student deserves respect, dignity, and the opportunity to learn. He promotes diversity, equality, and inclusion so that students from all backgrounds feel welcomed and valued. Because of this, many students feel safe and happy at school. Knowing that there is a teacher who truly cares about students makes the school community stronger. Dr. Salvador also shows his care by making sure that students feel supported and protected. He promotes kindness and does not tolerate bullying. He listens to his students, celebrates their achievements, and encourages them when they face challenges. Many of his students have disabilities and unique learning needs, but he always reminds them that they are capable, important, and worthy of respect. He also helps students become more confident and believe in themselves. As both my teacher and my father, he guides me at home and at school. He teaches me the value of hard work, humility, and helping others. He also promotes cultural diversity in Las Vegas, Nevada, helping students appreciate people from different cultures and backgrounds. Inside the classroom, Dr. Salvador uses patience, creativity, and dedication to teach his students important life skills. Outside the classroom, he continues to serve the community and encourages others to do the same. Whether he is teaching, supporting students with disabilities, pushing wheelchairs, or creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, he shows what it truly means to be a caring and committed teacher. Because of his compassion, hard work, and dedication to helping every student succeed, I believe he truly deserves to be recognized as an outstanding and inspiring teacher.
