I would like to honor Ms. Villanueva because she has truly made a meaningful difference in my son’s life. Before entering her class, my son was in an environment where I often felt misunderstood and unfairly treated. As a parent of a child with autism, that experience was incredibly difficult. He struggled to communicate, and it seemed like his needs were not being fully recognized or supported. Everything changed when he entered Ms. Villanueva’s classroom. From the very beginning, she showed patience, understanding, and genuine care. She takes the time to truly know her students—who they are, what they need, and how to help them feel safe and comfortable. That kind of dedication is rare, and it shows in the progress my son has made. When he first started in her class, he was hardly speaking. Now, he is talking more, communicating more, and expressing himself in ways I hadn’t seen before. Ms. Villanueva encourages him, challenges him, and believes in his potential. She pushes him in the best way, helping him grow while still making him feel supported. Beyond her work in the classroom, she is simply a beautiful person inside and out. She builds strong, positive relationships not only with her students but also with their families. I feel heard, respected, and included, which means everything. Ms. Villanueva is more than a teacher—she is an advocate, a supporter, and a true blessing to our family. That is why I believe she deserves to be honored.
