Mr. Gasque is a great teacher! He is super cool and makes the classroom engaging with his energy. He has many posters put up that has to do with history and his class, which makes the room feel like a more welcoming environment. Mr. Gasque is what makes me excited for the class. He is what makes the class fun and enjoyable. His energy, they way he teaches, the way he talks with the class. Everything he does makes the class fun to come to everyday! I have been a student of Mr. Gasque for the past three years. Im AP Human Geography, AP World History, and now currently, I am his student aid. I keep coming back to his class just because of how amazing he is at teaching, connecting, and just how fun he makes the class. He makes sure each student is engaged with the topic everyday. He uses strategies to help each student with different ways of learning, whether it's notes or games that are played in class. That shows that he cares, not just about a couple of students, but all of his students in all of his classes. He wants us to learn as much as we can, and he wants to make sure we understand everything to the full extent. Before class every Monday and Friday he asks the class what plans they have for the weekend and everything they've done. He gets the class engaged before the real lesson so they're more likely to learn. For my experience, a connection with a teacher helps me learn. And the connections Mr. Gasque makes with each student helps each of us learn to the full extent. Mr. Gasque is also a coach for wrestling at Foothill. I have recently joined the team during off season, and he is fully supporting me and helping me as much as he can. He's encouraging me to stay with wrestling, even if it's hard, because he knows I will enjoy it and he knows it will do me good. So inside as outside of the classroom, Mr. Gasque helps me and other students as much as he's capable of doing. Mr. Gasque is a wonderful teacher, in every way. I believe he deserves this more than anyone else.
