Mrs. Quiróz is not only my mother, but an amazing teacher. She always goes above and beyond for her students, treating them like her own children. It’s easy to see how much my mother has made students feel excited to come to her class. Always fills everyday with joy, excitement, and so much knowledge. Ms. Quiróz often has old students from 3rd grade- all the way to middle and high school who still still come back to visit her and everyday it fills my heart everyday to know what an impact she has had on her past students. Ms. Quiróz doesn’t only show her love for teaching and her students in the classroom but always whenever she is needed. Show up to sporting events, offer a helping hand when a needs emotional support, and when families may be rough situations. My mother pours her whole heart into her students, whether she has to make it an early morning or late evening, whatever it takes to see them thrive and succeed during and after the school year. There is no one who I believe deserves this award more than my mother. As her daughter, it comes from deep in my heart but anyone else who got to experience Mrs. Quiroz as a teacher will tell you the same.
