Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
ASHANTI TATE
ADDELIAR D GUY III ELEMENTARY

STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY

Mrs. Tate has been a viable asset and contributor to the happiness health and well-being of the children at Guy elementary school. I remember her from 3-4years ago before she was a teacher. She worked as an aid and would greet the students in the morning at the front gate. This amazing woman knew every single students name along with the students siblings who didn’t attend the school. She has a wonderful spunky, outgoing, personality, always lively positive and a BURST of energy that invigorated the children as they walked into school every morning. My son has had the pleasure of having her as his teacher for her second year, teaching. Every student that was going to second grade wishes that they would be in Miss Tate’s class. She is very thoughtful and kind and you can really tell that she loves what she does ,that she loves each student as if they were her own children. Our school district is in high demand and desperate need for individuals like Miss Tate. I truly hope that the school district will nurture and support her and keep her apart of our education community for years to come. You can’t train a teacher to be like her what she has is something that is a natural talent and God-given. We hope that Ms. Tate receives all the praise and recognition she deserves, she is truly a gift to our community.
