Miss Hicks is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is not just good at teaching—she is truly amazing at making sure every student understands what she is explaining. No matter how difficult a topic may seem at first, she has a way of breaking it down into simple ideas that make sense. Because of this, I never feel lost in her class for long. She takes the time to explain things in different ways until it finally clicks, which shows how much she cares about her students’ learning. What makes Miss Hicks even more special is how she stands up for everyone, not just the students in her own class. She treats everyone fairly and with respect, and she creates an environment where people feel safe and supported. Knowing that she has our backs makes a big difference in how comfortable we feel at school. I actually look forward to going to her class every day. She has a great sense of humor and always finds ways to make us laugh, which makes learning more enjoyable. At the same time, she is very caring and always checks in with us. She asks if we need help or if we are struggling with anything, and she truly listens. As someone with dyslexia, her support means even more to me. She gives helpful tips and advice that make my schoolwork easier to manage. Because of her encouragement, I feel more confident in myself and my abilities. Miss Hicks has supported me both inside and outside the classroom, and I am very grateful for everything she has done.
