I would like to nominate Mrs. Ayanbule, a teacher who has helped me grow and learn so much. When I first started, I had difficulty retaining information and struggled with counting larger numbers. Mrs. Ayanbule took the time to meet with my parents and helped them understand exactly what I needed in order to develop and learn more effectively. Her patience and understanding of my learning challenges made a huge difference in my life. When I first came to this school, I was scared because my past experiences with teachers had not been positive. I worried that she might become overwhelmed and not be able to help me—but she proved me completely wrong. Mrs. Ayanbule took the time to truly get to know me and understand what works best for me. Because of her, I can now count to large numbers I never imagined I would be able to reach. I have learned how to tell time, add, subtract, and most importantly, I feel confident in my understanding of numbers. I also enjoy science class with her. She makes learning fun with hands-on projects, like watching plants grow and learning how they develop. She works with me in small groups, which helps build my confidence and makes learning easier. School used to make me cry, but now I look forward to going every day. It has become a place I truly love, and that is all because of Mrs. Ayanbule. Thank you, Mrs. Ayanbule, for believing in me, for your patience, and for never giving up on me. Because of you, I feel confident, capable, and excited to learn every day.
