Congratulations to
Life-Changing Teaching Award Nominee
ANGEL PICKETT-CHILTON
NORTHVIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL
STUDENT RECOGNITION STORY
What makes this teacher awesome is that her way of teaching really helps me learn a lot and that we go slows so that everyone can understand the lesson later we finish the work that she give us. Some things that make me go execited to go to the class is my classmates, since almost everybody in that class is my friend or that at least I know a little, and Mrs. Pickett Chilton herself is another reason why I like very much her class, I feel that I'm really learning the lessons that she is teaching and the activities that we do are also very fun. She let us know that she care about us by talking personally to us, like if I get early to her class she always greets me and asked me how I was doing today, and she also does it with everybody at the beginning of class before we start the lesson. Wha she does to make me a better and more confident student is that she teaches ways students can improve in their classes and improve your learning skill, like reading and presentation skills, and sometimes we form on a circle and everyone has to talk and share with others what they learn or think about the topic we are seeing on class. Mrs. Pickett Chilton support us inside of the classroom by walking around the class and check if we are doing our work right and she tries to help us improve what we did to make a better. She also support us outside of the classroom when we don't know what to do, like this week, the schedule changed because of WIDA testing, and on Monday I had no idea where I had to go, so I went directly to Mrs. Pickett Chilton's classroom to ask where I had to go and she told me the first class I had to go to and so I did.
