What can I not say about Mr. Hodson? He has done everything in his power to uplift every single student who crosses his path. I have never had him as a real teacher; he has only been my IB coordinator. However, he has been so much more than that; he has become a friend. When I needed someone else to talk to about what I should do with my life, he immediately showed up in my English class, and we talked. He is a very honest man who deserves everything good this universe has to offer him. Never have I been so sure that a teacher cares so much for the success of their students. Mr. Hodson is the person who told me that everything happens for a reason, but sometimes you can mess with the cards in your deck. He has offered me and anyone else reflection time because we all make mistakes and need a moment to step away before going back to reality. He is the only reason that the IB program still exists at North Central, and by the time he leaves, I am not sure if it will live on. Mr. Hodson would move the heavens and the Earth if that would make someone's day better. He always looks after us, and he deserves some recognition for all the effort he puts into and out of the classroom, because when you message Mr. Hodson, he will reply at an incredibly speedy pace. He is the reason I want to pursue a degree in the humanities. He has made such a profound impact on all who have met with him, with the most kind yet piercing blue eyes staring back at you when you speak with him. No one person on this Earth is like this man, he is a teacher I will never forget and one I hope to keep updated on my life. He is a human with divine-like qualities of patience and kindness, all seen with a realist lens. His teachings go far beyond the classroom and are all lessons I will hold with me for the rest of my time.
