Mrs. B is awesome because she introduced me to the world of music in 8th grade with an email she sent out to everyone in interest of joining the band in highschool. Ever since then, i've been curious about music and playing an instrument. Mrs. B has this point system called Band Olympics where if you're doing the task she might have on the smart board or on the books we have on our music stands, good, then she gives you points on class dojo. I think this is a good way to motivate students to practice and play their instrument, and it makes me excited to play my instrument even more. Mrs. B lets us know she cares about us because she makes sure to print papers for us for reminders, and she tells us we can reach out for support through her email. Mrs. B also hosts fundraisers that support the band, like the one for Valentines day--we sell crystal roses. I helped fundraise and it helped me get out of my comfort zone to go up to people without getting nervous. Mrs. B has supported me by understanding and compromising with me when I miss practice so I can make it up in my grades.
